Bus Timetables: The 261, 268 services and Brentwood Community Hospital Shuttle.
The Imperial Bus company operates two bus services through the village but the 268 stops in Church Lane at 07.45, on Mondays to Fridays only, on route to Thurrock College and Grays. The return service for the 268 leaves Thurrock College at 17.20 and arrives at Church Lane at 18.11.
The main service from the village into Brentwood is the 261. The whole route runs from Blackmore to Brentwood via Doddinghurst. There are two covered bus shelters in the village for passengers travelling towards Brentwood, these are both on the Doddinghurst Road, one close to the Church Lane junction (The Barn) and one near the Post Office. The Bus route from Doddinghurst runs down the Doddinghurst Road past the Brentwood Centre (Bishops Hall) - for swimming pools and sports facilities -to the Ongar Road and up into Brentwood High Street. The timetables are correct as at October 2009.
